Who are you and why are you reading my blog?

Ok, so because I'm a "wicked smaht" Mechanical Engineer, (or at least it says so on my college diploma). Ages ago I installed Google Analytics to keep track of the throngs of fans I have out there, to determine where they are from, how they find my blog and what they are looking at while on my blog. I guess I did this to boost my ego and add a sense of importance and significance to my life, or I was just bored.

Anyhow, over the last couple of months I've noticed a few odd trends. The first, being that my comment boxes were being filled out by spammers trying to spread "adult entertainment" and sell "male enhancement materials." And as a result I've had to go in and delete them.

The second thing I noticed was the increase of international visitors. Typically my readership is Mass, the rest of New England, NY, PA, NJ and then a few outliers in Colorado and California, along with a few Canadian visits and Israeli. Which seems to make sense, most people I know are in those areas, or at least the northeast is within the realm of the ECCC Blogosphere.

(What is the freaking deal here?)

But now, my readership has greatly expanded, to France, Spain, the UK, Pakistan, Australia, Belgium, Uruguay, Costa Rica, Russia and the Czech Republic. And I have to ask myself, who the hell are these people and why are they reading my blog? Are my thoughts really that profound? I'd like to think so, but the odds are not. Granted I can assume that some of the European ones are people I know or ECCC'ers on term abroad in Europe, so that's understandable. But who the hell do I know in Pakistan, or Russia?

So, if you are reading this from some place outside the Northeast, or don't actually know me, please leave a comment and explain why you're here (just refrain from promoting your "adult entertainment" or "male enhancement" products).

  1. Increase your pecker size in three easy steps... haha. Just ride your bike, it is not the size that counts it is how it feels up against your chamois!

  2. I'm reading your blog because Audible retweeted your tweet requesting recommendations. I'm in Arizona.

I just finished Daemon by Daniel Suarez and its sequel Freedom TM. I recommend them. I wish I had 8 credits. Enjoy!
